Nonprofit Leadership Training Institute (NPLTI)
 

The Carl M. Freeman Foundation partners with Montgomery College to present the Nonprofit Leadership Training Institute (NPLTI) for emerging nonprofit leaders in Montgomery County. This intensive, interactive training applies the best research and resources for the next generation of managers and directors. The Foundation is proud to have graduated classes in 2005 and 2007.
 
Standards For Excellence
 

In January 2009, the Foundation was pleased to partner once again with the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations to underwrite the Standards for Excellence training program for select nonprofit organizations in Montgomery County, Maryland.  Participating organizations were chosen to receive coaching from peers and expert facilitators on topics including Advocacy, Fundraising, Legal Compliance, Board Development, and other challenging areas facing nonprofit organizations. 

In 2008, the Foundation worked with the Community Development Partnership to offer the training sessions to nonprofits in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.  In the past the Foundation has worked with the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations to underwrite the training program for organizations in Montgomery, Anne Arundel, Talbot and Worcester Counties in Maryland as well as Sussex County, Delaware.
 
Technology Training
 

The Foundation is pleased to have worked with NPower Greater DC Region, a nonprofit organization that provides technology support and services to nonprofits in the area, to offer free trainings to nonprofits in Montgomery County, Maryland. Trainings focus on designing effective websites and building useful and easy to use databases.
